The host Luke good dude! His voice belongs on tv or the radio! Hospitable, kind good energy! It’s a small dining area so get there early or get a take away box. The food is amazing and worth the wait! The price…. Crazy affordable!! This was my first time eating there and will not be my last.

WOW, I was blown away by the tastiness of the food. It's simply delicious. They have the best home fries I ever tried. Crust of the potatoes were perfectly cooked. I sampled the breakfast burrito, dankwiches, veggie omelette, and triple berry waffles with my party of five. Everything just tasted elevated. I don't know what they do, but all the food has so much flavor. Hands down the best tasting breakfast spot in Philly. They just reopened their in dining. Do yourself a favor and check out Champs Diner!

Staying in Philadelphia for a concert and snuck out of the Airbnb for sustenance to find this food paradise. Looking at their pictures online I knew it was going to be good and the breakfast burrito really caught my eye. Walking into Champs I was immediately greeted and welcomed with love by the assuming owner. He went above and beyond with customer service giving me everything I wanted. He mentioned if there was something not on the menu he would make it happen! I did go with the breakfast burrito and he listed it many protein options. I decided to go with sausage links since they’re a favorite of mine. The burrito was impressive in size and presentation. I loved the flavor and freshness it had. If you’re ever in the area I highly suggest coming to this food destination.

This place is a treasure in a busy neighborhood near Temple University. People wanting to get a sense of all that is great and friendly about Philadelphia should come here for breakfast or lunch. It's a small place, with maybe room for 25 guests, but each person is greeted individually with the potential for dozens of personalized variations on the menu. Fantastic home fries, red velvet pancakes and (this hurt), "the best hot chocolate (my daughter) ever had." Our host was Burt and he made our day both times we went. Kudos to the owner, Jimmy, for putting together a restaurant, menu, and (especially) staff that filled us with food and encouragement.

This my second time here. The food is great. Burt who is always my waiter, has the best customer service hands down and I have tried a lot of places. Yes, it is small; so don’t think you take a family of six because you will be disappointed. However. For a small intimate breakfast for two or double breakfast date; this spot would be ideal. Plan to make this my every Saturday morning spot.

Good evening Family. I visited for the first time today. Two reasons why I stopped here after consulting Google for breakfast options. I needed to use the restroom plus I needed to kill time. My next stop was Harriet's Bookstore. I had already visited Uncle Bobbie's and Treehouse Books because I wanted to see if we could get book signings for Yolanda's children's book, Brown like Me. I decided on shrimp and grits. That is my alltime favorite meal and my go to meal. I also decided on hot chamomile tea with lemon. As soon as I arrived, Luke welcomed me in. Luke works at the diner and Luke has such an engaging personality. It would be hard not to like him. I was seated at a table because there are no booths here and then I asked to use the rest room and it was located in the back and it was nice and clean. Luke talked to me the whole time I was there, so I never felt lonely. This is a busy place for people picking up orders like Door Dash and Uber Eats. My shrimp and grits was so delicious!!! I could have eaten more shrimp. I paid for my meal by debit card. Luke is the best part about this place. I never anticipated such great hospitality when I decided to dine here. I also stopped a young lady who was a crossing guard at the diner and I asked her to purchase Yolanda's children's book. She told me her name but I don't recall it right now. We gave them a show and we started dancing. It was great!!! I enjoyed myself and I had a great experience here. Yes I would not mind coming back here. A good time here!!! Workout, be healthy, fit and Fabulous especially for people over 50 years of age. The diner is owned by a husband/wife team. My total tab was $23.98 and I paid by debit, unfortunately it comes out as credit, since they do not have the pin option.
